Andra launches its institutional tokenization platform for the ETF market

Our Canton-built platform connects on-chain ETF activity with the regulated infrastructure issuers already rely on. It arrives alongside our SEC transfer-agent registration and a new industry working group.

Andra launches its institutional tokenization platform for the ETF market

Today we are officially launching Andra's institutional tokenization platform for the ETF market: an issuer-sponsored platform built to connect on-chain activity with the settlement, custody and service-provider infrastructure that ETFs already rely on.

Our belief is simple. Tokenization should extend the existing ETF ecosystem, not replace it.

What the platform does

Built on the Canton Network, a permissionless blockchain with configurable privacy, the Andra platform lets ETF issuers, authorized participants and market makers add digital wallets, programmable transfers and on-chain ownership to the ETF structures they operate today. Tokenization runs at the issuer's direction and within the fund's existing transfer-agent relationship.

The platform connects on-chain activity with the official records an ETF's transfer agent maintains, keeping the two in sync while supporting settlement, compliance and digital distribution. Rather than creating a separate operating model, it adds an on-chain layer to existing fund operations, with permissioned workflows, privacy-preserving auditability and interoperability across regulated financial-market infrastructure.

A regulatory milestone

The launch follows an important step for the company. On September 4, 2026, Adaptable Network Designed for Regulated Assets LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Andra Infrastructure Holdings Inc., became registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a transfer agent.

“The industry has made significant progress proving that securities can move on-chain. The next challenge is making that activity work with the infrastructure that ETFs already depend on. That's what we're building at Andra. Our transfer agent registration, the platform, and the industry collaboration we are convening all point to the same thing: move tokenized ETFs from experimentation toward practical implementation.”Rali Perduhova, CEO and co-founder, Andra

Built with the Canton ecosystem

Canton was chosen because it gives institutions what tokenized ETFs need in practice: privacy, control and compliance inside the workflows they already run. Digital Asset, the company behind the Canton protocol, shares that view.

“This is an important step forward as the industry works to bring tokenized ETFs into institutional markets. Canton has demonstrated that institutional adoption can accelerate meaningfully when market participants are able to operate on-chain within existing workflows while maintaining the privacy, control and compliance they require. By bringing those capabilities to Andra's platform, we are creating another pathway for institutions to advance tokenized ETFs toward real-world adoption.”Georg Schneider, Global Head of RWA, Digital Asset

An industry working group

In parallel, we have formed an industry working group that brings together senior participants from across the ETF ecosystem. The group is working through the operational questions involved in bringing tokenized, issuer-sponsored ETFs to market: how issuers, authorized participants, market makers, administrators and other service providers work together, how settlement and compliance should function, and which pilot programs make sense first.

What comes next

As tokenized funds move from pilots toward production, the pieces now fit together: an SEC-registered transfer agent, a Canton-native platform, and an industry group focused on practical implementation. We're excited for what comes next. If you are an ETF issuer or service provider exploring tokenization, use Request Access at the top of this page and we will be in touch.
